Meet Sara
My career as a registered nurse began in 1999 and has encompassed labor & delivery units, mother-baby departments, nurseries, obstetrics & gynecology offices, and, most recently, functional medicine, providing me with the opportunity to live in several states from coast to coast. Experience as a nurse, birth coach, and life doula in and out of hospitals has been interwoven with extensive exploration into holistic alternatives to wellbeing, further leading me to provide consulting services that bridge an incongruent disconnection that has existed between the health of communities and the care that much of the medical system has delivered.
I offer a non-clinical birth support and education program custom tailored to your needs and desires. Integrated wisdom from 16 years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse with formal Lamaze training will support you in understanding your options and making choices consciously, while allowing for a more empowered birth experience that is beneficial for you and your family.

Lamaze’s Six Healthy Birth Practices are comprised of allowing for labor to begin on its own, continuous movement and support, avoiding interventions that are not medically necessary, following your body’s urges to push, allowing gravity to assist in delivery, and keeping mother and baby together.
